Mel Kohn, as managing partner of Kirsch Kohn & Bridge, is responsible for the day-to-day operations of all aspects of our practice.

Mel brings over 30 years of public accounting experience to our firm. His industry specializations include supermarkets, restaurants, medical practices, real estate and distribution businesses.

Mel’s client responsibilities include a wide range of financial and tax planning for closely-held businesses. His areas of concentration include strategic business planning and forensic tax services. Clients rely on Mel’s experience in the purchase and sale of businesses and in structuring complex transactions.

As a member of both the American Institute of CPAs and the California Society of CPAs, Mel has served in many leadership roles at both the state and local levels. He was a founding member of the management of an Accounting Practice Committee of the Los Angeles Chapter of the California Society of CPAs. Mel is also active in the local business community and civic organizations.

Mel earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration from UCLA. He also has a Professional Designation in Retail Food Management and Marketing, as well as a Certificate in Advanced Personal Financial Planning from the California CPA Education Foundation.
